10 amazing driving tricks that will make you a better driver and your life easier. These tips are useful for both beginners and professionals. Are you an experienced driver? Then you surely know that having a car is not easy. You have to deal with many little problems all the time: a scratch here, window crack there… You also have to watch out for the safety of your car. Do you want to learn how to keep your coffee cup safe at speed? To make your life easier, we collected some tips that are useful for both beginners and professionals! TIMESTAMPS Nail polish can almost hide a small scratch 0:47 Clear nail polish can stop a windshield crack 1:17 Turn the steering wheel when you need to leave the car 1:37 Get rid of the bright sun 2:08 A bay leaf to prevent car sickness 2:36 A smart sunglasses holder 2:57 A lemon helps to prevent drowsiness while driving 3:21 Enhanced cupholder 3:46 Hang a tennis ball in the garage 4:15 Check the oil quality 4:40 Check the gas quality 5:43 Super fast car ventilation 6:55 Use static electricity to fight with your pet's hair 7:25 How to avoid car doors' freezing 8:00 Use potato not to let your car windows fog 8:20 A road-trip with kids 8:46 SUMMARY - After you find the perfect match, put some on the scratch. After the nail polish dries, just buff the scratch a little to make it smooth. - To combat such cracks, use clear nail polish. Put 2 or 3 layers on the crack, and it will stop the crack from growing. - The steering wheel is already too hot to touch! To avoid this, turn the steering wheel by 180 degrees when leaving the car. The part you use to drive will stay in the shadow. - In order not to get blinded by the sun, take an acrylic sheet and put it on the windshield. Acrylic is easily attached to the windshield thanks to static electricity, and it protects your eyes from ultraviolet rays very well. - If you've got a long road ahead of you and you are worried that you might get car sick, there is a fantastic solution! You may be surprised, but you just need to put a bay leaf under your tongue. - Are you one of those people who doesn't know where to put their sunglasses in the car? There is just the place: put them on the sun visor. This way you'll make sure your glasses won't fall on a bumpy road. - If you are feeling a bit drowsy when driving, put a piece of lemon under your tongue. This will wake you up very quickly. But still, we don't recommend you to drive when you are tired. - This advice will come in handy to those who find that their cupholder isn't reliable enough. Put a little silicone cupcake case on the bottom of the cupholder. This way, your coffee cup will be secured inside, and all the little pieces of trash will be in the case. - A tennis ball hanging in the garage can be a point which shows that a wall is near. The ball will help you to feel the car's size more easily, so you won't drive further than necessary. - Heat the engine for 5-10 minutes, and cut the ignition off. Open the hood, and put a couple of oil drops onto a sheet of paper. Carefully take the sheet in a warm place and wait for 2 hours for the oil to dry. - Put a drop of gas on a white sheet of paper, blow on it, and wait for the drop to evaporate. If the paper is perfectly white after the experiment, it means that you are using good-quality gas. If there is a greasy spot, it means there is some kerosene in the gas. - Open a door and one of the front windows. Then open and close the door on the opposite side of the car. Do it a couple of times - this trick helps to cool down the car quickly, and it also gets rid of unpleasant smells easily. - All you need is a pair of latex gloves. Put them on and rub your gloved hands against the carpet. It will create static electricity which in turn will help pet hair to resurface. - When the windows in the car start fogging from the inside, you need to cut a potato in two parts. Then rub the potato on the windows from the inside and let them dry. - Use a shower organizer to keep everything you need on the way, from diapers to bottles with water and some games. Just fix it to the seat in front of you and enjoy your organized ride! How to drive a car like a pro? You probably feel like you could learn some more driving hacks to become a better driver and make driving an even better experience. Take a look at ten awesome driving tips we have put together to make your driving safer! TIMESTAMPS Take a defensive driving course 0:51 Brake with your left foot 1:55 Move at the same speed as the other vehicles 2:41 Keep your hands on the wheel at the proper position 3:14 Control understeering and oversteering 3:54 Park precisely 4:41 Use the handbrake to perform a handbrake turn 5:26 Use heel-toe downshifting 6:11 Pay attention to cars in the distance 6:44 Adjust the mirrors to eliminate blind spots 7:18 SUMMARY - The best thing about defensive driving courses is that you can take them online, and they only cost around $30 but will save you much more money. How? Taking a state and court approved course can be the reason for traffic ticket dismissal. It will also help you save up to 10% on car insurance and take violation points off your driving record. - Breaking with their left foot, they don’t have to waste precious fractions of a second while moving the right foot to the brake pedal. Left-foot braking also lets them use the brake and the gas at the same time. It is a difficult technique that requires regular practice, but it is worth it, even if you don’t plan to become an auto racer. - Driving at a speed that is lower or higher than the speed of other traffic is dangerous as it can cause accidents. That’s why when choosing your speed; you should first take into account traffic density. - The new recommended position is also the most ergonomic position to hold your hands in for a long period of time. Relaxed muscles and better control over your car. This trick will, of course, make your driving a better experience. - If you’re driving on a wet or icy road, don’t accelerate too much. Driving at a moderate speed will help you avoid most cases of understeering or oversteering. This will help you stay out of trouble and traffic accidents. - Why is parallel parking so important and it is so time-consuming and confusing? If you can parallel park perfectly, you won’t be afraid of crowded parking lots. Also, you will be more confident when driving a car in reverse. When you master it, you will be able to park any vehicle in a matter of seconds. - The racer locks up the rear wheels, slows the car and points it in the right direction without losing speed he cares so much about. Again, this trick is not only good for racers, and it can help you in an emergency. It can also be handy if you have to perform a sharp, fast turn in winter. - The sense of this technique consists in shifting the transmission down from a higher gear to a lower one by hitting the gas pedal with your heel and braking with your toe at the same time. It reduces the time required for shifting gears, prevents the unloading of rear wheels, and allows fast and smooth downshifting before turning. - What do you normally look at while moving in heavy traffic? Most definitely, your nearest surroundings. It is, of course, important for your safety, but one trick you should learn is to look ahead, too. See, if you notice brake lights a quarter mile ahead of you, it can save you some valuable seconds, enough to stop your car and not get in an accident. - Being an experienced driver is first of all about driving safely. You can’t do it if your side mirrors are not properly adjusted. If the side mirrors mostly reflect the flanks of your car, it means that you are not making proper use of the whole reflecting surfaces.  We are sure if you use these awesome techniques, it will take your driving experience to a whole new level. How to get unstuck from mud or sand? Even if you’re an experienced driver, it never hurts to learn some extra tips you didn’t know before. #drivingtips #drivinghacks #driverbegginer 💥 By the way, there is a cat hidden in this video. Hint: it's black! If you can spot our furry little guy, you're much more attentive than most people! 😽 Other videos you might like: If You See This On Your Car, Don't Touch It And Ask for Help! 🤍 8 Things You’re Doing Wrong When Driving Fast 🤍 Why Police Touch Your Taillight, It's Extremely Important! 🤍 TIMESTAMPS: Get ahead of another car safely 0:25 Take good care of your wipers 1:07 Use your AC wisely in the summer 2:16 Be careful with your AC in the winter 3:33 Start your car when it's freezing outside 4:22 Get unstuck from mud or sand 5:05 Pay attention to the wheels 5:53 Take the most out of your car alarm 6:25 Mind the details 7:16 Music by Epidemic Sound 🤍 SUMMARY: - Every now and then you just have to overtake another car on a narrow two-lane road to get to your destination faster. Whenever you feel like you don’t have enough time to end it, turn back to your lane and not the side of the road. - Whenever the frost is coming, remove the wiper blades overnight and they won’t freeze to the glass. And finally, never ever run the wipers on a dry windshield. They are meant to be used on a wet surface. - Imagine it's a hot summer day, you get in the car that's been in the sun for hours. But the AC system accumulates toxic substances you don't want to breath in. So pump out the hot air naturally before you get in the car. - If you live in climate where seasons do change and winters are snowy and cold, you most likely only use you AC in the summer. If you make it sleep all winter long, you might not be able to turn it back on in the summer. The same is true for the heater, you have to turn it on at least for 30 seconds even in the summer months. - When it's below 14 °F outside and you get in your vehicle, don't try to start it straight away. Before you start it, turn on the high beams for 3 to 5 seconds. It will let you run the current through your system and help the engine start easier. - In case you get stuck in mud, sand or snow, don’t panic and remember there’s always a way to get out. Deflate the tires letting out about half of the air from them to increase their surface area. - When you're driving along a narrow road, and there is a flow of cars going your way, pay attention to their wheels. If you feel like the driver is acting weirdly don't wait for them to flash the turn signals. - It’s really smart to keep the remote control apart from the rest of your keys and always keep it in your pocket. Also, don’t activate the Anti Theft mode just for fun. - It's pretty obvious that you have to keep your windshield clean, but there are some things you might oversee in this process. You side car windows have rubber molding that you most likely forget to clean. How to spend less money on gas? How to drive a car easily and safely? There is a direct connection between mileage and the frequency of maintenance services. Here are 10 brilliant driving hacks and secrets that will help you save gas money and drive your car like a pro. TIMESTAMPS - Why is gas so expensive? 0:54 - Don’t put the pedal to the metal 2:20 - Use cruise control on the highway 3:18 - Undergo servicing on time 4:04 - Turn off the air conditioning 4:58 - Make your route logistically efficient 5:47 - Don’t drive when it rains 6:34 - Monitor your tire pressure 7:24 - Remove unnecessary weight 8:04 - Keep an eye on gas prices 8:35 - Always stay alert on the road 9:11 SUMMARY Why is gas so expensive? Because oil is? That’s right. Crude oil, to be precise. It makes up 72 of gasoline price. We pay the remaining 28 percent for distribution, refining, and taxes. The reasons for gas prices to rise are the weakening dollar, natural disasters and simple rules of supply and demand. Prices rise when demand is bigger than supply. Prices usually drop down in the winter when fewer people are traveling across the country. We can hardly affect any of the things we just mentioned. But we can affect our choice when buying a car. Some cars are less fuel-efficient than others. But we still love them and want to have them. They are ultra high-end luxury cars and large vans and SUVs. Sports cars are already very expensive themselves and also require you to feed their turbocharged engines, which create more horsepower. If you don’t have a sports car, but paying for gas is still a nightmare, then you probably own one of the best-selling cars in America. Toyota Camry, Corolla, Prius and Honda Civic, Accord and CR-V. Have you ever tried to clean pet hair from your car but without any luck? With the purchase of a car, you also get an additional set of responsibilities and expenses, which can make your life a bit more difficult at times — and no one wants that. TIMESTAMPS: Keep your wheels straight 1:03 Air freshener 2:06 Tablet holder 2:58 Line the cupholders 3:41 Apply some nail polish 4:20 Winter parking 5:12 Squeegee for pet hair 5:55 Frozen lock 6:35 Oil it up 7:44 Key fob to the head 8:31 #drivingtips #skilleddriver #frozenlock Music: 🤍 SUMMARY: - You might get a little impatient, and, in preparation for the turn, you turn your wheels to the left while your car is stationary. If you’ve ever done this, pay attention to this safety hack! - If you find that your car’s air freshener doesn’t last for as long as you would like, then here’s an alternative solution: you can use wax to make your car smell nice. - If a tablet is absolutely necessary for a long commute but you don’t have a tablet holder, dig through your garage and see if you can find a bungee cord. Bring it to the car, wrap it around the headrest, and put the tablet in the hooks. - Even when cupholders are used purely for drinks, they’re bound to get messy and dirty once in a while. Drinks can spill, leaving a sticky residue inside the cupholders that’s a pain to clean. - If your windshield has a small crack but you can’t get it repaired soon, try putting some clear nail polish on it. The nail polish will fill the empty nooks, and, once it’s dried, it will seal the broken pieces together. - To spend less time exposed to the freezing weather, park your car facing east every day. - A vacuum might not always be able to pick up all the hair, but a simple tool like a window squeegee can help you collect it all. - The main ingredient of hand sanitizer is alcohol, which can melt the ice that’s frozen inside the lock. - . If you’re about to start carpooling, want to impress a passenger with your car, or just want to return it to its old glory, try using some oil. Put some olive oil on a cloth, and rub the surfaces. - Instead of spending half an hour roaming the parking lot, put the key fob to your chin, and then press the unlock button. Many of us spend at least one hour a day behind the wheel. That's definitely a lot, but even the most experienced drivers don’t always know all the subtleties or nuances that can make driving easier, particularly in the case of a tough situation. If you wanna drive in comfort and ease, you should learn to avoid dangerous situations. Do you know, for example, what damage can a scent sticker cause to your car? Or why is it crucial to use turn signals even in a parking lot? And, can you use a log instead of a car wheel? So, here comes another lineup of auto tips every driver has to know! Other videos you might like: 4 Things They Forgot to Tell You In Driving School 🤍 10 Driving Hacks That'll Make You Spend Less On Gas 🤍 If You See a Bottle on Your Tire, Don't Touch It And Call the Police! 🤍 TIMESTAMPS: Using turn signals in a parking lot 0:25 How to make a gas pump work 1:06 Effective windshield cleaner 1:52 Never use a brush to clean snow off your vehicle 2:59 Why your steering wheel and wheels vibrate 3:48 How you can prevent condensation in your headlights 4:49 What damage can a scent sticker cause to your car? 5:33 How to air out your vehicle right 7:00 Check your oil levels only on a cold engine 7:57 💥 Bonus: Replacing a missing wheel with a log 💥 8:31 #drivingtips #drivingtricks #drivinghacks Music by Epidemic Sound 🤍 SUMMARY: - Using turn signals when finding parking places is something that’s almost a natural instinct. Other drivers and pedestrians aren’t psychic, so they have no clue which way your back end will go. - Sometimes your car just won’t start, and one of the reasons for that is problems with your gas pump; it can wear out or weaken with time. But there’s a trick to make it work: take the key out of the ignition, then turn it on again but don't start the car straight away. - Take a spray bottle, fill it with water and about two tablespoons of dishwashing soap and voila, you just got yourself an effective and basically free windshield cleaner. - In the white winter season, never ever use a brush to clean snow off your vehicle. Don't brush the snow off the car body because it scratches the paintwork. To keep your vehicle bright and shiny, exercise patience and wait until it thaws. - There’s another winter trick that will save you a good deal of frustration. Sometimes as you're driving on a snowy day, you can feel your steering wheel and wheels vibrating. Sometimes, as you pass through a snowdrift, snow sticks to the disk, and then because of moisture or rain, it turns into ice. - When you’re traveling down a highway or a country road, little pebbles might come flying your way. If you plan to stay on the road for a long time and rain catches you on the way, your headlights might fog up because of that damage. - Don't use air fresheners that are scent stickers. The active chemical components that make your car smell like an ocean breeze or the tropics can damage the paint or make it dull. - When you air out the vehicle, open the windows that are kitty-corner to each other. For instance, open the driver seat and the right rear window. If you just open the front windows, the air will blow back and spin, but the stinking smell won’t disappear. - Checking your oil levels is critically important. So make sure to check it regularly and only on a cold engine. You see, if you locate the dipstick in an engine that was just actively working, it won't give you the most accurate results. - If you take a log and attach it to the bumper, than stretch it under the body of the car and attach it to the rear axle, it will work as a makeshift wheel, or a sledge for your car. This will only work on your rear wheels because they don’t turn, and you’ll have to go slowly and carefully, but it actually works! All it takes is a little bit of time using the internet or an app to find the way that will not only get you there faster, but will also minimize the amount of traffic you are in. this will help you save gas and will also help promote less wear and tear on your car. This will save you money and sanity in the long run. This tip is especially helpful to follow if you are planning on going on a long trip. If you are driving to a destination that is a few hours away, it is in your best interest to plan ahead. If you are going on a road trip and don’t plan your route ahead of time, you may end up accidentally taking a longer route which could take you hours longer than a shorter route. This would waste unnecessary gas, and could potentially cost you a ton of money on wasted gas. So make sure you plan out your route! You should also compare various different routes to see what the best ones are. You should also keep an eye out for routes which could potentially have heavier bouts of traffic than other routes. So bust out your Google maps and plan your route before you go! 7. Eliminate wind resistance. Having a luggage rack on your roof or even keeping your windows down can cause wind resistance while driving. The more aerodynamic your vehicle is, the more fuel you’ll save in the long run. 6. Plan where you fill up. Don’t wait until you’re out of gas to fill up or you’ll end up paying more out of convenience. Gas stations near the highway are notorious for being pricier. Plan ahead and take advantage of the many smartphone apps that show you the cheapest gas prices around you. 5. Declutter your car. Some of us have a habit of driving around with a lot of unnecessary weight. However, it’s best to keep only the necessities in your vehicle because the heavier it is, the more fuel it will end up consuming. 4. Monitor your braking. Excessive braking can waste gas and cause your brake pads to wear out. This can be avoided by monitoring how you brake. Maintaining a safe distance between you and the car ahead of you will eliminate the need to slam on the brakes, which will improve the efficiency of your car. 3. Use cruise control. When you’re driving on the highway, cruise control doesn’t just provide your foot a break, it also can provide additional gas savings. Accelerating regularly will cause you to use much more fuel than necessary. 2. Monitor your tire pressure. Under-inflated tires can cause your fuel consumption to increase. It’s important to regularly check your tire pressure as properly inflated tires help reduce friction and offer better gas mileage. You can do this easily by visiting any mechanic or even a gas station. This is a great way to stay on top of your fuel consumption and save money! 1. Turn off air conditioning. In the sun months, blasting the AC might seem necessary, but fuel consumption increases 15% on average when the air conditioner is on. The AC uses energy supplied from the engine, which uses the fuel in your gas tank. So if you really don’t need to use the air conditioner in your car, try not to. You can always open the windows! How to eliminate blind spots? How do you know when to stop as you are parallel parking? What should you never do before making a left turn? Even the most experienced drivers don’t always know all the nuances that can make driving easier. Bright Side explains how to feel at ease when driving, learn to avoid dangerous situations and become a confident driver. Every tip we are going to share is very important, so you’d better not miss any of them. TIMESTAMPS Get to know your vehicle 0:48 Check if all your mirrors are adjusted correctly 1:45 Don't drive in someone else's blind spot 2:26 Learn to feel where the wheels are 3:13 Park guided by your windows and mirrors 3:51 Learn to drive in bad weather 4:44 Dry your brakes after driving through a puddle 5:30 Watch out for the maneuvers of taller cars in front of you 6:06 If the car doesn’t start, turn the high beams on 6:35 Lower your rear-view mirror at night 7:00 Turn on the air conditioner 7:19 Use the handbrake regularly 7:34 If a car in the neighboring lane is slowing down, follow suit 7:54 Don’t let the illusion of low speed deceive you 8:12 Don’t turn the wheels beforehand when making a left turn 8:44 SUMMARY - Believe us, when you hit the roads you will have many things to worry about rather than finding the switches for your front and rear fog lights or your hazard light button. See it as getting ready for an important exam. The more time you take preparing for it and the better you know the material, the less stress you will have during the exam. - To eliminate blind spots, adjust your side-view mirrors so that you can’t see your car in them. To check if there is a blind spot, drive past another parked car in reverse, looking in your side-view mirror. As soon as it’s out of the picture, you should see it with your peripheral vision. - If you find yourself in a dangerous position, change it. A dangerous position is when you are driving along to the right and slightly behind another vehicle. You are likely to be in their blind spot, so they don’t see you. - If you want to avoid potholes on the road, you need to learn to feel where the wheels are. Feeling your vehicle is the key to being able to control it and it is crucially important for safe driving. - When perpendicular parking, stop once you see the curb under the side mirror. This way the distance between the car and the curb will be minimal, and you won’t scratch the bumper. When parallel parking, make sure you don’t scratch the hubcaps. Stick a piece of colored duct tape to the bottom of the windshield. - You never know what might happen and when you are going to have to drive in bad weather conditions, so it is better to be prepared. The best thing about practicing is that you can choose the time and place to do it. - Before even the smallest of puddles, you’d better slow down and go through it smoothly without maneuvering or changing speed. If you drive quickly, there is a chance of water getting into the ignition system and making the engine stall. - Drivers of taller vehicles (truck and buses) see road situations much more clearly. If they start to change lanes all at once, it’s likely that they saw a car accident or a different kind of roadblock. - In the times of global climate change, you never know where and when winter might come after you. Sometimes in winter the car just won’t start on the first try. It is not a reason to panic, call for help, or use public transportation instead. - To avoid being blinded by a car behind you, change the angle of the mirror by pulling down the lever under it. - Even when you don’t use the air conditioner (for example, in winter), turn it on regularly for a short period of time. - Even if you don’t do angle parking, use the handbrake regularly to keep it alive. The only exception is very cold weather. In such conditions, you’d better avoid using the handbrake so that the brake pads don’t freeze. - If you see a car in the neighboring lane slowing down, you should do the same. It’s likely that the driver wants to let a pedestrian or an animal pass. - On a straight road, the speed seems to be two times lower than it really is. It makes you want to speed up to give your vehicle a chance to show its full power. - It’s dangerous to turn the wheels in advance before making a left turn. They must be in the initial position. If a car hits you from the back, you might be thrown into the opposite lane where hitting other cars will be inevitable. 15 Defensive Driving Secrets That Can Save Your Life

How to drive a car safely? How to drive a car with an automatic transmission? Safety is everything when it comes to driving. For example, do you know how to drive in winter weather? If you don't feel sure about your driving skills, then watch these 15 secrets from the specialists of defensive driving. The most important rule for when you’re in a drift is not to brake. We mean than blocked wheels don’t let the driver control the car at all. There are only two ways of dealing with drifts, and they are different for each type of drive. We're sure that you know these methods, but we still have a few secrets from the specialists of defensive driving to offer you. TIMESTAMPS How to avoid a car accident 0:29 Always keep the right distance 0:55 Look further 1:13 Use clutch and brake in the winter 1:34 How to drive in fog 1:56 ABS VS. no ABS 2:23 How to drive when drifting 3:08 Check the road 4:21 Divide by two 4:48 The surface road 5:11 Pick a side 5:36 Higher gear 5:51 Don’t overestimate other drivers 6:05 Have an emergency plan 6:32 Use car technology wisely 7:04 SUMMARY Where danger can come from. The places where people brake more often are usually the most slippery: before turns, pedestrian crossings, and bus stops. You should keep the same speed there and start braking early. Keeping the right distance. In winter, the distance between two cars should be two times bigger than in summer. But don’t leave too much space because someone else will want to get in the middle. Looking further Don’t look only at the car in front of you. Keep it in your sight, but also look further — 4-5 cars further. Using clutch and brake in the winter. In winter, you shouldn’t push the clutch pedal together with the brake pedal. In this case, the wheels can get blocked and the car will be put into a drift. Driving in fog. Make sure your headlights are on but don’t use high beams. Those will reflect off of the vapor in the air and only make things worse. ABS VS. no ABS. ABS car owners. The anti-lock braking system neutralizes the brake pedal on icy roads if you push it too fast and too hard. Instead of braking suddenly, the system causes the pedal to vibrate, so you can turn the wheel and put it in the initial position. None ABS car owners. The best way to brake in winter is using the brake pedal together with the downshift speeds. You should push the brake pedal shortly and then fully unblock the wheels. Repeat before the full stop. How to regain control when drifting If your car starts drifting, don’t panic and don’t hit the brake pedal! Another mistake most people make is wrenching the wheel round and in this way over-compensating. Check the road. When driving on winter roads, hit the brake pedal and let it go several times. If you feel that the car stops, the road is good; if you don’t, it means that the road is icy. Do this as often as possible. Make sure you aren’t creating dangerous situations, of course. Divide by two. If in summer you can drive at 80 miles per hour, then in winter, you should drive at 40 miles per hour. This way, you will make sure that you will have enough time to react if your car starts drifting. The surface road. On any road, try to drive the car so that all 4 wheels are on the same surface. Pick a side To avoid bounces between the walls of a deep track, push either the inside or the outside part of the wheels against the wall. Higher gear. On an icy road, you should drive in a higher gear. Again, take the summer norm and increase the gear by one when you’re driving in winter. Don’t overestimate other drivers. People will speed, drive on red, and not let you merge from time to time. Staying alert for others to make mistakes is an essential defensive driving trick. Have an emergency plan. Always leave enough space around your car to swerve to safety if you should. An emergency plan and an escape route in mind provide extra safety for you. Use technology wisely. Use planners available for your smartphone to make sure you never forget to have your wheels changed. Set a reminder right now, so every October you will be reminded that it’s time you thought about your safety. What driving secrets do you know? Feel free to share them in the comments. 7 Things You Shouldn't Do In an Automatic Transmission Car

14799965

03.10.2018

Do you drive a car with an automatic transmission? 🚕 The interface of automatic vehicles is often simpler, and new drivers don't have to struggle with a seemingly unruly stick shift and clutch. But there are still some ways you can mess up your transmission. Here are 7 of the most dangerous mistakes you can make when driving an automatic! 📣 TIMESTAMPS: Don't shift from "drive" to "reverse" before your car stops moving 1:06 Never put your car in "park" before it stops completely 1:55 Don't put it in "neutral" at stop lights 2:56 Don't coast in "neutral" 3:53 Never “launch” your car from a standstill 4:44 Avoid keeping the gas tank on low 5:48 Do not let water get in the transmission 6:31 #automatictransmission #drivinghacks #drivingtips Music: 🤍 SUMMARY: - If your brakes wear down, replacing them will cost you around $200. But by constantly shifting from "drive" to "reverse" while the car’s still rolling, get ready for damage that can run you at least $2,500. - When you throw it in “park,” a pin locks the transmission output shaft, which connects it to the wheels of your car. But if the car’s still rolling when you do this, either the locking pin or the output shaft may break or become eroded. - It's better to keep your car in "drive" than to switch it to "neutral" when stopped at a light. First of all, when your car’s in "neutral," you don't have as much control over it. So if you need to make some emergency maneuver, you may not be able to execute it in time. - Cars with automatic engines are designed in such a way that they save fuel even if the gear is in "drive." They simply cut the fuel supply when you're going downhill. - Plenty of drivers launch their cars all the time. This causes serious harm to the bands and clutches of the automatic transmission. When you shift, they use friction to move definite parts. - Ignoring the low fuel light may eventually cost you much more than just filling your tank up, especially if your car has an automatic transmission. - If water gets into the transmission, you're in big trouble. Even the smallest amount of water, just an ounce, can wreak havoc on your car’s transmission to the point that it needs replaced.
