HI Guys, I'm excited about this weeks video...talking about the outlaw history of the West and their remote, wild and beautiful hide outs they hide in while on the run from the law. I travel to northern Nevada and backpack into a remote desert land of ridges. mesa ;s and rock outcrops to find the reason outlaws would go to such wild places. Here's some of the MUST DO HIKES in Las Vegas. Plus 3 awesome healthy food spots to bring food on a hike. It's spring and summer is around the corner, so we better be ready. I always get asked how I stay so skinny even though my Youtube Channel is mainly about food. Well, I am still human, so I too have to eat healthy and exercise. So instead of going to the gym, let's enjoy the beautiful weather and go on a hike. Las Vegas summers are pretty brutal, so we have to enjoy this spring weather while we can. I know most people know Las Vegas only for the Strip, but there are many other visitors that know there's so much to do outdoors. I will be taking you on 3 different hikes that aren't too far away. Please make sure to keep watching, but I'm taking you to Lone Mountain Trail, Ice Box Canyon Trail in Red Rock Canyon, and Gold Strike Hot Springs Trail. The Owl Canyon trail is located at Lake Mead in Nevada roughly about 45 minutes outside of Las Vegas. This is an easy 2-mile round trip hike with only 300ft of elevation gain. Owl Canyon is a really cool looking slot canyon where owls actually nest from time to time. Let me give you a tour of this hike so you can come to visit this super awesome spot on your own! In this video I challenged myself to hike Nevada's tallest peak. Boundary peak. This mountain is 13,117 feet high, 7 miles round trip, with over 4,100 feet of elevation gain. Definitely one of the hardest hikes i've done, don't come under prepared.
In mid-October 2020, I went hiking for three days in the Sierra Nevada mountain range, in southern Spain. The total hike wasn't too long, only 40.8 kilometers, but it was in the mid-altitude mountains, and the total ascent was about 3150 meters. It went up to the highest peak in mainland Spain - Mulhacen (3479m) and it also crossed Alcazaba, which is also one of the highest peaks in Spain (3371m). This hike wasn't too difficult, but I wouldn't recommend doing it in the rainy/snow season because the section "Vasar del Mulhacén" can be pretty dangerous when there's potential for landslides or when there's too much ice and snow. I followed the following trail on Wikiloc (🤍 It's in Spanish, but you can use a translator for understanding everything. I downloaded the GPS file from Wikiloc (Wikiloc premium needed) and uploaded it to Gaia GPS, which is a free Android GPS app with better offline maps. There's not much internet in the Spanish Sierra Nevada mountains, so keep that in mind. You can camp anywhere above 1600 meters, but you have to set up the tent 1 hour before sunset and dismantle it no later than 1 hour after sunrise. You also have to notify the national park of your intention of staying, but honestly, I don't think they care too much. It looked like there could be nothing to see while hiking in this part of the desert. At least from the highway it didn't look like much. The Valley of Fire State Park is located in the south of Nevada, about 50 miles or 80 kilometers to the east of Las Vegas. It’s the oldest and largest state park in Nevada and is known for its bright red sandstone formations that appear to be on fire during sunset. Filled with beautiful panoramic vistas, short hiking trails, petroglyphs, and scenic drives, the Valley of Fire makes for a perfect day trip from Las Vegas. In this ultimate travel guide we’ll highlight the things you need to know before you go as well as the best viewpoints and hikes in the park. 🤔 Things to know before you visit the Valley of Fire State Park 1. The Valley of Fire cannot be reached by public transportation and you’ll need a car to visit the park. It’s best to rent a car in Las Vegas or book a day tour from there. ☑️ 🤍 2. It costs 10$ per vehicle per day or 15$ for vehicles that are not from Nevada to enter the Valley of Fire State Park. 3. The opening hours are from sunrise to sunset. Those are the best times to visit as well as it’s a lot quieter. The best seasons to visit are probably spring and fall when it’s pleasantly warm. 4. There are two main roads that wind through the park: The Valley of Fire Highway runs west to east and this is where the two entrances are located. Mouse’s Tank Road runs from the Visitor Center to the north into the heart of the park. This is the most scenic part of the park. 5. You need at least a few hours to visit the park and see the viewpoints. To have the best experience, we recommend exploring a full day. There’s enough to see if you want to spend two days as well. 6. If you plan to spend two days here, there are two campsites near the west entrance of the park. The fee is $20.00 per vehicle, per night or $25.00 for non-Nevada Vehicles. It’s an additional $10.00 for sites with utility hookups. 7. There are no restaurants or stores in the park so make sure to pack your food. The park has barbecues at certain parking lots that you can use if you bring your own coals. 🏜️ Best viewpoints in the Valley of Fire State Park: - Mouse’s Tank Road - The Fire Canyon Overlook - Atlatl Rock - Arch Rock - Seven Sisters 🚶 Best hikes in the Valley of Fire State Park: - Elephant Rock - Mouse’s Tank - Rainbow Vista - The White Domes Loop - Seven wonders trail & Fire Wave ⬇️ FREE DOWNLOAD: Top 100 Bucket List Destinations: 🤍 ✅ SUBSCRIBE: 🤍 😊 FOLLOW US ON SOCIAL MEDIA: 🤍 🤍 📺 MORE VIDEOS YOU WILL ENJOY: - Las Vegas Best Things To Do: 🤍 - Angel's Landing Hike Zion National Park: 🤍 - Hiking Vernal Falls and Nevada Falls in Yosemite National Park: 🤍 - Seattle Best Things To Do: 🤍 ✏️ BLOG POST YOU WILL ENJOY: Valley of Fire Travel Guide: 🤍 🎵 MUSIC CREDITS: Rejoice in the morning by The David Roy Collective Seven Seasons by The Days The Afterglow by The Days 🎥 VIDEO CHAPTERS: 0:00 Intro 1:25 Things to know before you visit the Valley of Fire 3:04 Best viewpoints in the Valley of Fire 4:53 Best hikes in the Valley of Fire #valleyoffirestatepark #travelguide #nevada

Climbing the Half Dome Cables in Yosemite National Park. Half Dome Hike is an extremely strenuous & breathtaking 18 mile round trip hike via the mist trail. You will pass 2 beautiful waterfalls the Vernal Fall (318ft) and Nevada Fall (594 ft) along the way to the top. If you hike between May and July, be prepared to get extremely soaked from the mist trail as you approach Vernal Fall as you can see in the video. It took us about 12 hours to complete the hike which included an hour break on top of Half Dome. We started the hike at 3:45 in the morning and got back to the car at 4pm. Total elevation gain is about 5000 feet. Permit is required to climb when the cables are up between May and October. REI Store is a great place to get all your hiking gears for the hike up Half Dome Video filmed June 2019 with GoPro Hero 7 black

Located, roughly about an hour outside of Las Vegas is the amazing Bowl Of Fire hike! The trailhead is just off of Northshore Road in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. I label this trail as moderate at a 4.4-mile round trip and 377ft of elevation gain. What is so cool about the Bowl Of Fire is the beautiful red colors and the really neat rock formations that are all around the area. It sort of reminds me of the Valley of Fire or Red Rock Canyon in certain ways. This is a super cool hike, though, and I highly recommend it. Hiking the Vernal falls and Nevada falls is a must-do in Yosemite National Park. The hiking trail is 8.5 miles long and takes about 5 hours to complete. Along the way, you'll be rewarded with two spectacular waterfalls: the Vernal falls and Nevada falls. But besides the waterfalls, this hike also offers breathtaking scenery along the Merced River and across the Yosemite Valley. Hence it comes as no surprise that the Vernal falls and Nevada falls hike is very popular, and especially the first part of the trail can get very crowded. However, the crowds thin out once you reach the top of the Vernal Falls. We definitely recommend going all the way to Nevada Falls as they are just incredibly beautiful and a lot more quiet. The hike starts along the Mist Trail and loops down via the John Muir trail. Doing a loop makes it a lot more interesting and shows you different angles of the Vernal falls and Nevada falls. The viewpoints are also perfect for a small (lunch) break. Enjoy this video and have fun hiking the Vernal falls and Nevada falls on your trip!
