*I installed the theme manually bc for some reason it didn't work properly installing it from the global theme section on settings, maybe it's a bug on my OS idk... anyways if it works for you installing it from there, great. Themes - 🤍 Manjaro start menu icon (start.svgz) - 🤍 Manjaro KDE Plasma - 🤍 Wallpaper - 🤍 Thunderstorm sound: 🤍 Themes - 00:52 Blur & Applying themes - 03:37 Dock & Clock - 07:34 Splash screen - 10:53 LOGIN SCREEN - 🤍 at 17:32 min * If you don't see those folders in .local, you just gotta go to Settings - Global Themes - Download new themes, and choose 1 of those that show up first and install it (no need to apply the theme, just install it), so it's gonna create automatically all those folders you need, then you do what i show in the video. * You might notice sometimes the dock or window decorations will look different all of a sudden, it's not bugged it's just that i had some issues recording so i had to edit in a different order. * If there's something on the video i didn't show how i did that, it was because it's probably on my last video already. I found out this new theme that is supposed to be of Windows 10, but it looks way nicer, i just changed the windows buttons for the ones from the theme called Harmony (same developer btw), so it looks less like windows 10. So i got tired of my last desktop layout, the global menu wasn't working very well so i wanted to get rid of the top bar and have some more screen, also the latte dock was pissing me off because of some bugs, anyways this time i decided to make a dock using the KDE default bar, that works way better and i can have the system tray without taking so much space from the app icons area. The clock i had to set to the top of the screen with auto-hide, but it's still convenient, at least to me.

I recently made a video about the Picom compositor, a fork of Compton. It seems to me that Compton is more stable and works more consistently across a large number of machines, so I've made an additional guide for compton. Let me know if you have any questions! AUR -compton-tryone-git: 🤍
Check my new video of this tutorial with updated settings and some other features I added - 🤍 UPDATES - On Dock settings (10:44) - Appearance tab - Background - Opacity - I've been using it now with 35%, looks better. Also on Effects tab - Animations - I'm setting it back to 2x. - On Workspace behavior - Desktop effects - Magic lamp settings - I set Animation duration to "400milliseconds". - On the top bar, instead of using the start menu that I show on the video, I have installed and been using this "Simple Menu" widget, looks more interesting to me. (just search for 'simple menu' on the 'download new plasma widgets' window). - On login screen code (15:56) now I set the Opacity to 0.25 instead of 0.15, looks better this way too. - For the applications that use GTK to have the Close-Max-Min buttons on the left side too, open the file "settings.ini" located in "/home/your-user-name/.config/gtk-3.0" and add this line without quotation marks: "gtk-decoration-layout=close,maximize,minimize:menu". Save it, and restart the session. - Also I've been using this icon pack called "La Capitaine", the folder and some apps icons don't look that much like the macOS ones, it's like a new version of them, but I like it better. Feel free to give it a try. - If you like your dock with a thin vertical 'separator' to organize better your icons, you can download it on 'download new plasma widget' window as well, search for 'separator' install it and drag it to your dock. Watch in full before asking any questions Note: Certain steps in this video (Downloading, Fixing NAT issues, etc.) will depend on where you live and your ISP, These solutions might not work for everyone, but you can probably find more informative tutorials online on how to get open NAT (any game) Note 2: Reupload due to security concerns and inacurrate information about port forwarding Note 3: modems can be a bit funny trying to get open nat, moderate mostly works. if you *REALLY* want to play with open you can try hard resetting your modem Note 4: thanks for 1k views, never expected so many people to care about this unheard classic. Awesome features of KDE plasma 1. Yet another magic lamp 2.Blur 3. Wobbly Windows 4. Cover switch etc.... 🤍 Manjaro is an accessible, friendly, open-source Linux distribution and community. Based on Arch Linux, Manjaro provides all the benefits of cutting-edge software combined with a focus on getting started quickly, automated tools to require less manual intervention, and help readily available when needed. Manjaro is suitable for both newcomers and experienced Linux users. Manjaro is an excellent entry-point into the Linux world. Unlike proprietary operating systems, Manjaro gives you full control over your hardware, without restrictions. This makes it ideal for people who want to learn how Linux works and how it is different to other operating systems. From this perspective, Manjaro is suitable for beginners similar to the way an Arduino is an excellent entry-point to embedded hardware development. Manjaro is not a consumer-oriented operating system. You have full control and you will not be prevented from breaking your own installation - but then again, breaking things and fixing them is half of the fun! On the other hand, if you are happy with the way it works you don’t have to change a thing. Manjaro can represent a perfect middle-ground for experienced Linux users, those who want good performance, full control, and cutting-edge software but also a degree of software version stability.
