They should make a movie based on Melody as a teenager and it can be like a Romeo and Juliette type of movie.
I always liked Melody a lot more than Ariel, she always felt more interesting to me. I feel like she was in a similar situation to Kiara and Scamp where she was sheltered and not told anything, so no wonder she wanted to find things out on her own.

Non canon character
What happend to the childrens at Melody's birthday after Melody ran away did they got punished their parents of their actions or something else happens
What would happen if Eric married 1 of Ariel's sisters?
Since college has made me analyze Disney films a bit more deeply, I would also like to add something about Ariel's hair throughout the movie. It changes three times.
In the first few minutes of the movie, her hair is in a ponytail. Ponytails can mean a variety of things, but often times as playful, which Ariel is. It also shows she's a bit more mature, but still the same Ariel who is so excited to show her daughter the sea.
Then after Morgana threatens to hurt Melody and they build the wall, Ariel wears her hair in a bun. To me, since she can't share Melody's mermaid heritage, she has to keep her true self a secret and be the responsible mother she now is, even if it means keeping secrets. Having her hair up in a bun instead of down like she use to is almost like she's hiding her true self. She has to be a bit strict, disciplined, and composed, the opposite of who she was before Morgana ruined everything.
And when she transforms back into a mermaid, her hair does go back down and stays down even at the end of the movie. This shows she is now embracing her mermaid side again. And now that Morgana is gone, she can share this side of her with Melody. She can be the Ariel everyone knew her as. She no longer has to hide who she is and let her hair down at last.
Finally a video that DOESN'T trash talk about the little mermaid 2.
now that the real life movie is coming, there is a chance that we may see more of melody
Hello friend, I am a huge Disney fan from Singapore. 😊 Ariel is my favourite Disney princess. 💜 I started watching the Ariel movie when I was 4 years old. I am now 38.
That's how you make a good movie!
I wish Disney gave Ariel's sisters their own movie and series after Ursula was defeated and Ariel is having a wonderful time with Eric and their daughter Melody in the surface her 6 sisters are having their own underwater Sea adventures together
R.I.P. Pat Carroll, you'll be missed by all.
Not me who owned this on VHS and loved re watching little mermaid 2 every other week
I absolutely loved this movie as well!!! I think I loved it more than the original.
The Melody character is the only positive point of The Little Mermaid 2. I am the biggest fan of The Little Mermaid universe, the original movie is iconic, the serie is cute, the prequel Ariel's Beginning is beautiful, but I'm sorry I really tried to love The Little Mermaid 2 but the movie is paintful to watch. The animation is soooooo cheap, Melody's friends are ridiculous, Morgana is not terrifying at all, Triton haven't the correct tail color, the story is predictible... anyway, I love Melody !
Hate the movie love the character
