I dive into the apparently misleading claims about how thick the Samsung Watch5 series watches are, only to discover the problem is wider than just Samsung and their plump watches. I didn’t intend on going down a rabbit hole this morning. Or at least, not this rabbit hole. I thought I was starting my day down a much narrower hole, to quickly and efficiently demonstrate that the Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Pro specs for thickness were woefully incorrect and misleading. That specific scavenger hunt was initiated by Reddit this weekend after watching my Ealy Review of the Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Pro, and noting there was no way the 10.5mm thickness listed for that watch was accurate, given the far more sleek/older Galaxy Watch Active 2 was listed at 10.9mm. It seemed impossible. And sure enough, it was. Dive on in with me! #SamsungWatch5 #AppleWatchSeries7 #GarminWatch
Car manufacturers are bullying about fuel consumption for dacades. We are used to it. Look at the pictures of the menue at mc donalds and what you get. All fooling us
This is very helpful not only u compared the size to a familiar object/oreo, u also showed us the difference in woman's tiny wrist to a man's wrist. Your both wrists measurements help me to which size I will buy. TY!
Everything in this world is a lie nowadays. This makes me not want to own anything from those lying bastards sam sung dumb ... What else are they lying about to us? If the Ticwatch would stop lying to us about Wear OS 3 I would get one of them and never own a samsung again.
PHONE IS NOT WORTH $500
Samsung lies with their specs, will let you use all of their sensors all the time with no artificial restrictions.
Apple lies with hidden monthly subscriptions to use basic tools like the barometer despite this being a pure offline hardware feature.
Pick your corporate flavour of false advertising

This is because your measurements include the sensor housing on the rear where the watch manufacturers are only measuring the body/ shell of the watch. It's not a Samsung specific method either.
The weight without the straps is correct as the watches have replaceable straps. Each strap weighs different so this info on the Samsung is correct.
You need to remember that the sensor is designed to protrude from the body to be pushed into the skin. The body should be pushed flat against the skin leaving the correct measurement exposed.
The great smartwatch conspiracy of 2022😂
Yeah! They are all lieing! Do you really need to check your calipers to know that that measurement is off? I don't get it, are people this oblivious to the real world? If you think this is scandalous you should look into fuel economy for cars 😂
A double stuff Oreo is big. What is Samsung doing...
Seems like Samsung was measuring the coloured side part and not including the bottom sensors area etc.
Oh you agree later in the video lol.
What about the battery life? Thanks! BA 🍁
Wat?!!! Zit jij in Nederland?
I think phones skip the camera bumps. Yes still cheating
I think companies is right, measure when the watch on your wrist skin to top the device.
What is the name of the watch you measured right after Fitbit?.
Honestly fella - I love your attention to detail and love that you are telling it like it is with these watches. You are my single point of reference for all sports tech. I would be careful with the Oreo thing though - my channel was called ' The Fit Triathlete'......until I started measuring in Oreo units.....😂
Maybe, I should have just gone with the standard Oreo instead of the 44mm, LTE version of the Watch5. I'm thinking GPS accuracy would be about the same. Wow, is it ever bad. My running maps look like a drunken kitten trying to make his way home. Thanks for another great video, Ray.
Samsung have deceived consumers for years. I have been suckered twice. I would never believe anything Samsung claim.
