Ben is not only a phenomenal saxophonist, he has a LOT of knowledge about horns, necks, and mouthpieces. He shares some helpful insights here, including: - where he places his mouthpiece on the neck - how different horns “voice” differently - making adjustments for intonation on different horns (what makes you in tune on one might make you out of tune on another) - comparing and contrasting differences between a Selmer Mark VI and Selmer Super Balanced Action (SBA) - trying modern necks with vintage horns Visit 🤍 for albums, lessons, and more.

I was in Philadelphia last year and had access to a giant room with an eight second reverb! Invited the great Immanuel Wilkins over last second and improvised a free piece in the space. Really amazing how much sound can be produced by two people when you have that much reverb!
